5) System Requirements

If you are using the PowerPC version of Download Deputy:
A PowerPC Macintosh with System 7 OS Software installed and 4 MB of RAM

If you are using the 68K version of Download Deputy:
A Macintosh with at least a 68020 processor, System 7 OS Software installed, 3 MB of RAM

Optional software to make Download Deputy better:

Netscape Navigator 3.0 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0: To use Download Deputy’s incredible URL Grabber, you must have Netscape 3.0 or higher, or Microsoft Internet Explorer 3.0 or higher installed on your machine. Neither of these are necessary for regular FTP file downloading.

Internet Config: Download Deputy’s ‘Go to DD Home...” item of the ‘Deputy’ menu uses Internet Config to launch your preferred browser and open the Download Deputy home page.

Stuffit Expander: Selecting the “Auto-Expand Files” option in the Options section requires that you have Stuffit Expander installed. To expand and decode most internet archives, you will also need the Expander Enhancer component that comes free with DropStuff.
